Arsenal player ratings as late Eddie Nketiah strike secures the points against West Ham

Eddie Nketiah struck late to give Arsenal all three points against West Ham.

The youngster was brought on in the dying embers of a dull affair in north London, and was in the right place at the right time to slot home the winner.

Alexandre Lacazette opened the scoring for the Gunners with a powerful header past ex-Arsenal shot-stopper Lukasz Fabianski.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang just about beating the offside trap to provide the assist.

Michail Antonio levelled the scores for the Hammers, slotting home a driven Ryan Fredericks cross from close range on the turn of half time.

But Nketiah ensured Arsenal's 100 per cent record in the league remains in tact.

Here's how we rated the performances.

Leno - 5

Poor distribution throughout game and unusually shaky at times.

Bellerin - 6

Bullied a bit alongside Saka down the right flank when going forward, but was strong defensively.

Gabriel - 6

Another good performance from the new signing. A very solid signing.

Holding - 6

Solid in the air but perhaps should have got right side of his man for goal.

Kolasinac - 5

Should have closed Fredericks down quicker for goal. Tierney a big miss.

Saka - 7

Quiet until coming up with the bit of magic to spark the move leading to Nketiah goal.

Ceballos - 8

MOTM. Busy in the centre of the park, always looking to provide that spark of creative. Assisted Nketiah.

Xhaka - 7

Did the donkey work behind Ceballos, enabling him to get forward and make the difference.

Willian - 6

Not as effective as he was against Fulham, substituted for Pepe.

Aubameyang - 6

Linked up well with Lacazette for goal, but was dragged deeper as game went on.

Lacazette - 7

Lively start, but less effective as Hammers defenders got to grips with him. Eventually hooked.

Subs:

Pepe - 6

Came on for Willian but didn't get much of a foothold in the game.

Nketiah - 7

Was sent on to score the winner and did exactly that.
