Arsenal are planning a summer clear-out in a bid to add to their £700,000-per-week wage savings.
That's according to The Sun, who say the Gunners will be on a cost-cutting mission this summer in a move which could see them sell frontman Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsenal made huge savings during January after the likes of Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi deparrted, but it seems they are not done there with the report claiming the club are 'feeling the pinch' of not having fans inside the Emirates Stadium amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Like many clubs, Arsenal took out a large short-term loan with the Bank of England, worth £120million, to help bridge the gap during the pandemic.
But it seems, with that short-term loan to pay back in the coming months, the Gunners will need to take further measures to reduce their wage bill.
And the report suggests Lacazette - who has been with the Gunners since 2017 - could be sold as part of that as the Frenchman prepares to enter the final year of his contract, and with no agreement over a new one just yet.
To save losing Lacazette for free, Arsenal could move to sell him, a move which would see them save around £150,000-per-week on wages.
Beyond that, Lacazette is still valued at more than £30million by Transfermarkt, so the Gunners could be in for a heft payday with all that considered, albeit the fee they receive for the 29-year-old could be reduced given the fact he only has one year left on his deal as of the summer.
The report also claims David Luiz, who is said to earn £120,000-per-week, will be released when his contract expires in the summer, and the departures won't end there.
It's claimed Matteo Guendouzi, currently on loan at Hertha Berlin, will be sold, as well as Lucas Torreira, who is currently with Atletico Madrid.
Sokratis is also said to be on the chopping block, while Arsenal are also said to be willing to hear offers for youngsters Joe Willock, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah.
Though, it's not all outgoings with the report claiming Arsenal would like to make Dani Ceballos' loan deal permanent while potentially doing the same for the Spaniard's fellow loan stars Martin Odegaard and Mat Ryan.
