Arsenal picture special: Pepe, Martinelli, Ozil and Tierney train ahead of West Ham clash

Arsenal return to Premier League action on Monday night as they face West Ham United away from home.

The Gunners go into the game on the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday night - a result which has stretched their winless run across all competitions to nine games.

In addition, the omens aren't great for the north London outfit.

Arsenal 1-2 Brighton: Freddie Ljungberg full post-match press conference

In their previous two visits to the London Stadium they are yet to score and lost the corresponding fixture last season 1-0 thanks to Declan Rice's second half goal.

Interim head coach Freddie Ljungberg will hope to avoid a repeat result against a side whom he played for over a decade ago.

In terms of team news, Ljungberg has already been handed a massive injury worry with confirmation that Rob Holding is a doubt for the London derby with a knee problem.

"Left knee,"reads a statement on the club's official website. "Bruising to knee, being assessed ahead of Monday’s match."

The other player who will miss out is Dani Ceballos.

Sidelined since the 1-1 Europa League draw with Vitoria last month, the on-loan midfielder is aiming to make a return to full training within the next month which means he could feature over the festive period.

The Gunners were put through their paces at London Colney on Sunday afternoon ahead of the 8pm kick-off at the London Stadium on Monday night.

Youngsters Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe were all present as were the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Nicolas Pepe and David Luiz.
