Arsenal picture special: Ozil, Xhaka, Tierney and Aubameyang train ahead of Wolves clash

It's a rare Saturday 3pm kick-off for Arsenal as they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to the Emirates Stadium.

The corresponding fixture last season ended in a 1-1 draw as Henrikh Mkhitaryan - now on loan at AS Roma - salvaged a point for the hosts late on.

In fact, the Gunners took just one point from a possible six against Wolves last season, so this is a chance for the north London outfit to gain a measure of revenge on Nuno Espirito Santo's side and for Emery to ease some of the growing fan pressure.

But the Arsenal head coach knows it won't be easy given some of Wolves' results away from home already this season.

"They won at Man City's stadium and it is an amazing result, it is very difficult to win there," Emery told reporters on Friday afternoon . "They lost to Everton and drew in the last minute against Crystal Palace.

"It depends on each match.

"Who would have thought they would win at Manchester City? Normally they won't. We have to respect that result at Man City, how they played at Palace and also how they played at Newcastle.

"Now we want to play and prepare our match with respect for them in 30 per cent and imposing our idea in 70 per cent. This is my idea in each match and tomorrow is the same.

"We are thinking and respecting them but above all we need to create our strongest way with the ball, with possession, with our game plan and we defensively we know we need to stop them."

In terms of team news, one player who has already been ruled out is Granit Xhaka despite breaking his silence over events at the Emirates Stadium last weekend with an apology to supporters on Thursday.

"The focus is tomorrow's match. It's not in my mind that he will play tomorrow," Emery said. "It's not in my mind that he will play tomorrow.

"He's not in my mind. I think that tomorrow, he is not going to play."

With that said, the Gunners captain did train as normal alongside Sead Kolasniac and Joe Willock - both of whom have recovered from slight knocks picked up in the Carabao Cup loss against Liverpool in midweek.

Furthermore, the Arsenal squad including the likes of Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Lucas Torreira, Kieran Tierney and Alexandre Lacazette were put through their paces at the club's training base at London Colney on Friday afternoon.
