Here is your Arsenal morning digest for Saturday, May 30.
Huge decrease in value paints worrying picture for Gunners
Arsenal risk slipping further away from the football elite after KPMG’s football valuation report showed the Gunners are worth £1.5 billion, a 8% drop on the previous year.
Equally worrying, when Stan Kroenke completed a full takeover of the club in 2018, Arsenal were valued at £1.8 billion.
Authors of the report suggest that the Gunners’ financial failings can be attributed to continued failure to qualify for the Champions League.
"The Gunners are struggling on the field in the latest seasons, having missed out on UEFA Champions League participation since 2016/17, and by consequence also suffering on the financial side.
"This year they registered an 8% enterprise value decrease, mainly because of worsened profitability."

Retirement of Arsenal chairman a sign of continued overhaul
The retirement of Gunners chairman Sir Chips Keswick signals something of a changing of the guard at the club.
Keswick had been in the role for seven years but in that time, the internal structure at the club had transformed, with the board proving less influential as time went on.
Arsenal now operate with a football executive branch who make the decisions that were previously the responsibility of the ageing board.

Lacazette agrees with Mikel Arteta on Pepe development
Mikel Arteta’s arrival at Arsenal has seen record signing Nicolas Pepe showing steady improvement following an indifferent start to life at the Emirates.
One particularly eye-catching display came in February's 4-0 thrashing of Newcastle, when the Ivorian scored one and assisted two further goals in the win.

However, Arteta was just as impressed with the winger’s defensive contributions as he was with Pepe’s attacking play.
Something also picked up on by teammate Lacazette as the two watched the game back on Arsenal’s YouTube channel.
"Great tackle by Nicolas Pepe," said the French striker. "He seems to have made good progress in that department."
