Arsenal are moving forward with their plans to secure a new forward due to the uncertainties surrounding the futures of their current crop and have reportedly made a fresh enquiry.
The Gunners are set to see captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang enter the final 12 months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium, while Alexandre Lacazette has also been linked with an exit from the club.
That will leave Mikel Arteta with a significant void to fill in his side and a number of forwards have been linked with a move to join his side.
Now, the Mirror reports that Arsenal have lodged an enquiry with La Liga side Valencia regarding the services of Rodrigo Moreno.
Valencia owner Peter Lim is prepared to let the 29-year-old leave as part of his shake-up at the Mestella, with it stated he'd be allowed to leave for significantly less than his £110m release clause.
The report states a more likely price for the forward is in the region of £45-50m, a figure that would be affordable for Arsenal if either Aubameyang or Lacazette leaves.
Moreno's appeal will increase due to the fact he is able to play through the middle as well as from a wider position, much like Aubameyang, with his versatility providing a boost.
However, his return in front of goal will be an issue for supporters as he has managed just five goals in 28 appearances across all competitions this season.
He has, however, contributed 11 assists to his side, which would boost Arsenal's creativity, but losing Aubameyang's goals would be the biggest issue.
