Arsenal open training: Who trained and who didn't as Gunners prepare for Europa League decider

Unai Emery was able to watch a strong Arsenal squad train in the build up to the Gunners' last four Europa League semi-final second leg tie with the La Liga side with the Gunners 3-1 ahead.

The Arsenal squad were put through their paces at the evocative city centre stadium on Wednesday evening.

What the pundits are predicting as Arsenal face Valencia in Europa League semi-final

Emery will have almost a full squad to pick from to face the Spaniards side with only long-term injuries ruling out Rob Holding, Danny Welbeck, Denis Suarez and Aaron Ramsey from travelling.

Prior to the training session out on the stadium turf Emery pulled the whole squad together in a huddle on a warm evening with temperatures in the early 20s - after the mercury hit a peak of 32 degrees earlier in the afternoon.

From within the huddle he appeared to be giving his men a speech which went down well judging by the whoops and shouts of agreement after whatever he said lifted his men.

The session saw fitness and stretching early on followed by ball work while Bernd Leno and Petr Cech both trained with the goalkeeping coaches away from the outfield players.

Mesut Ozil was again involved in training and was one of the first out onto the pitch as the session got underway as he trained near to Shkodran Mustafi and Sead Kolasinac.

He was joined by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette with Matteo Guendouzi nearby.

The 20-year-old started ahead of Lucas Torreira in the first leg at the Emirates but the 23-year-old former Sampdoria midfielder is expected to start ahead of Guendouzi.

Eddie Nketiah was among those on hand from the youth ranks.
