Arsenal open to surprise Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang transfer as Martin Odegaard hint is spotted

Here's all the news from around the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Aubameyang and Lacazette update

football.london understands Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are both doubts for Arsenal's Premier League game against Chelsea on Sunday.

The duo were both absent from Friday night's loss to Brentford through illness, and it is understood that they are unlikely to feature in seven days time against the Blues.

Folarin Balogun and Gabriel Martinelli both started for the Gunners on Friday, with Eddie Nketiah sidelined through an injury until the end of the month.

Mikel Arteta didn't go into too much detail when asked about Aubameyang and Lacazette before the match on Friday.

"[Aubameyang and Lacazette] feel unwell, that's all I can say. Instead of thinking of excuses, we think of solutions so that's what we will do today," the Arsenal boss told Sky Sports.

Odegaard 'hint'

Martin Odegaard could be on his way back to Arsenal sooner rather than later.

And this time on a permanent transfer as football.london understands that the Gunners are set to make a formal offer for the playmaker after he signalled his intent to leave Real Madrid.

Furthermore, according to reports in Spain, as per @MadridXtra on Twitter, Odegaard has chosen to leave the La Liga giants who are now willing to sell him and a deal could be completed in the 'next few hours/days'.

Now, Real Madrid may have dropped the biggest hint yet that Odegaard is not part of their plans this season, with the Norwegian left out of their 21-man squad to face Alaves for their La Liga season opener.

Ancelotti' s squad included midfielders such as Modric, Casemiro, Fede Valverde, Lucas Vazquez, Isco and Antonio Blanco, but there was no sign of Odegaard.t

Gunners open to shock £22.5m transfer

Speaking of Aubameyang, the captain could yet leave Arsenal this summer, with reports claiming that the club will consider offers for their star striker.

According to The Times, Mikel Arteta unsatisfied with the striker's scoring form and therefore the club could offload their highest-earning player.

It was only a year ago when the 32-year-old penned his new £250,000 per week contract and that could make it difficult to find a potential suitor for the striker before deadline day.

Currently valued at £22.5m on transfermarkt, the north London outfit already stand to make a loss on the Gabon international having signed him for £60m in January 2018.

If Arsenal were to sell Aubameyang before August 31st, it could change their transfer plans drastically.

At present, in addition to Odegaard, a back-up goalkeeper is also wanted with Barcelona's Neto and Newcastle shot-stopper Freddie Woodman among the potential targets.
