Arsenal offer Aaron Ramsey injury update amid fears he will miss remainder of season

Aaron Ramsey will miss Arsenal's Europa League semi-final, first leg against Valencia on Thursday night but there remains a hope that the Wales international has not played his final game for the club.

In their official team news update Arsenal confirmed that Ramsey was still receiving treatment on the left hamstring injury he picked up in the quarter-final second leg win over Napoli. football.london understands that, at the current time, no decision has been taken on whether he will be able to play again this season.

Ramsey is set to join Juventus on a free transfer at the end of the season. The last league fixture he could play in is at Burnley on May 12.

Has Unai Emery hinted at who will replace Aaron Ramsey at Arsenal next season?

If he were not to recover by then he would have a further 17 days to prove his fitness ahead of the Europa League final in Baku, should Arsenal make it that far.

Meanwhile Arsenal have confirmed that Nacho Monreal, who is suffering from an injury to his right calf, is being assessed ahead of the visit of Valencia to the Emirates Stadium.

Monreal missed the 3-0 defeat at Leicester City, a match which has left Arsenal's hopes of qualification for the Champions League via a top four finish hanging by a thread. The Gunners need Chelsea to drop points in either of their final two games and to win both of their matches to snatch fourth place.

Arsenal have also set a timescale of "four to five weeks" on loanee Denis Suarez's recovery from a groin injury, ruling him out for the remainder of his time at the club. He will leave without having made a start for Unai Emery's side.
