'Brilliant buy' - Arsenal fans name next transfer target after Liverpool draw with Brighton

The January transfer window is fast approaching and Arsenal look like being involved in some capacity.

Mikel Arteta is keen to improve the spine of his team, and after missing out on Houssem Aouar this summer he will most likely be back in the market for a central midfielder.

Arsenal fans have identified who they would like the club to sign after Liverpool’s draw with Brighton & Hove Albion and it is Yves Bissouma.

Dominik Szoboszlai to Arsenal: Gunners' stance on £22m transfer clause, Leipzig make move

The situation surrounding Dominik Szobolszali’s future is beginning to intensify.

The Hungarian international has a €25million (£22m) release clause written into his contract that will expire in the middle of December.

The relatively low asking price has interested string clubs from across the continent and has seen some reports suggest a move is imminent. Felix Keith has written a detailed piece on the complex situation here, but it’s not impossible that the midfielder ends up at the Emirates.

The Gunners have practically frozen Mesut Ozil out of first-team duties after omitting him from their Premier League and Europa League squads, meaning there is room for a new creative midfielder.

Speaking recently to the Futbol with Grant Wahl podcast , his Salzburg manager Jesse Marsch predicted a bright future for the player.

"The reality is that a guy like Dominik Szoboszlai is likely to have many suitors this winter,” he said.

"He’s an incredible talent, and I say this - w hen you coach young players, you have to love them and love the fact that they’re going to move on and love that they’re going to have big opportunities to prove themselves and show how good they are."
