Arsenal news: Unai Emery tells defender and midfielder to complete transfer, injury boost

Arsenal are preparing to take on Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.

The Gunners and Jurgen Klopp's side are the only sides in the Premier League with 100% records, so who will prevail?

Who will Emery choose to start the match and how will it go?

Here we round up all the biggest stories from around Arsenal in the last 24 hours.

Emery tells Mustafi and Elneny to find new clubs

Unai Emery has told Shkodran Mustafi and Mohamed Elneny to find “another challenge” before the end of the European transfer window.

“They are very big players but for one circumstance or another they are going to have fewer chances to show their capacity or to be happy with us and the minutes they play in matches,” Emery said.

“But they know the situation and really I am wishing the best for them. I think now the best for them is to be protagonists in another team and to get another challenge for themselves.”

Mustafi's agent says a move is best

An Arsenal exit for Shkodran Mustafi would be best for all parties according to the player’s father, who also acts as his agent.

The German defender looks likely to leave the club this summer, though his current deal runs until 2021.

However, his father and agent admits that while he has enjoyed his time at Arsenal, it is time to move on.

Smith: Luiz could unlock Arsenal's attacking potential

David Luiz's deadline day arrival at Arsenal will help the team in more than just defensive areas, according to former Gunners striker Alan Smith.

Luiz was the fifth summer signing for Unai Emery after the arrival of Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba, Dani Ceballos and Nicolas Pepe. Despite the incomings, the departure of club captain Laurent Koscielny to Ligue 1 club Bordeaux, and the agreement between Arsenal and Saint Etienne that saw Saliba return to his former club on loan, left Emery short on defensive options.

A number of defenders were linked with the vacancyin the Gunners' backline, but a surprise move for Chelsea defender Luiz was the deal that was completed ahead of the deadline.

Smith says that the arrival of the Brazilian will add an extra dimension to Unai Emery's team due to his passing abilities, which will help Gunners attackers such as Nicolas Pepe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Klopp on Arsenal tactics

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been giving a press conference ahead of the game against Arsenal, and says he is not expecting lots of goals from either team tomorrow.

Apparently, he thinks Unai Emery will ‘probably change at least two key positions’.

Will one of those be Nicolas Pepe into the starting XI ?

Unai Emery can't hide his excitement over Matteo Guendouzi

Speaking before Arsenal's trip to Liverpool, Unai Emery was asked to reflect on Matteo Guendouzi's progress, and the Gunners boss was happy to oblige.
