Arsenal news: Potential Europa League boost, injury and team news, Unai Emery on Leicester clash

It's been a difficult week for Unai Emery's men. Two defeats at the hands of Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers have taken the possibility of finishing in fourth place in the Premier League out of their hands.

The distraction of a Europa League semi-final on Thursday night may be just what the Gunners need. Arsenal welcome La Liga side Valencia to the Emirates Stadium and will be looking to take an advantage into the second leg a week later.

But, before that, there is one Premier League game to overcome as they travel to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City on Sunday. Three points in that game could put the possibility of a top four position back into the Gunners' hands.

Ahead of a busy week, here are some stories that have emerged from the Emirates Stadium over the last 24 hours.

Potential Europa League final boost

Arsenal are yet to make it to the Europa League final, but should they do so, they are in line to receive a boost on a player's potential availability.

Should the Gunners beat Valencia in a two legged semi final, then they will play the final in Azerbaijan, Baku. Tensions between the country and Henrikh Mkhitaryan's home nation of Armenia, meant that it would be doubtful if the Arsenal player would be able to even travel for the match. The attacking midfielder missed the group stage game against Qarabag for the same reason.

But it now looks like UEFA will be ready to intervene and back the Gunners in securing a visa for the player.
