Arsenal news: Nicolas Pepe revelation, Liverpool lineup, Kroenke transfer update

With the European transfer windows still open, we are in that period of transfers and the Premier League season.

Head coach Unai Emery will have an eye on who could leave Arsenal in the coming days, but his main focus is on the first team on the pitch, with a match against Liverpool to come this Saturday.

There are a number of issues the Spaniard needs to sort out - one being whether or not he will hand Nicolas Pepe his full debut.

Pepe is in our round up of all the biggest Arsenal stories from the last 24 hours.

Kroenke transfer update

Deadline day may have come and gone for Arsenal, but they can still sell players.

And they will be hoping to do just that, too.

The Gunners are keen to offload some fringe players and they can do so in the European transfer market.

Shkodran Mustafi and a number of others could leave and Josh Kroenke has issued a transfer update.

Read all about that here.

Pepe revelation

Nicolas Pepe is waiting for his first start for Arsenal.

The £72million record signing has come off the bench in both Premier League games so far and shown glimpses of the quality that he possesses.

Will Unai Emery unleash him in a front three with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang against Liverpool?

The fact that Pepe is playing as a forward goes against what he did when he was growing up.

International teammate Yakou Meite has told the brilliant story of when the two of them were growing up.

Read that here.

Starting lineup

It is first versus second at Anfield on Saturday.

But Arsenal do not have a good recent record against the Reds.

So how does Unai Emery stop Jurgen Klopp's men this time around? And which team will he go with to get the job done?

We've got all the latest team news and the XI we expect the Spaniard to name.

All that is right here.

Ceballos importance

Arsenal managed to secure a 2-1 win over Burnley on the weekend, but once the match finished, it wasn't the three points that had supporters talking.

Instead, the performance of one individual player took the spotlight as he appeared head and shoulders above the rest for the 85 minutes that he spent on the Emirates pitch.

Dani Ceballos instantly became a fans' favourite with the Emirates faithful.

We took a look at just why.

Robertson and van Dijk moment

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang enjoy not only a good partnership on the field, but a good friendship off it.

And their connection has spread.

It has spread to Liverpool and the team Arsenal take on this weekend.

Eagle-eyed Arsenal fans have spotted something Reds pair Andy Robertson and Virgil van Dijk did in training this week that could bee seen as flattery towards the Gunners or imitation.

Work it out for yourself.
