Arsenal news: New Tierney bid, Eddie Nketiah decision made and Reiss Nelson's skill impresses

Pre-season is now well underway for Arsenal, as players and staff are in the United States for their tour.

The Gunners are back in action for their first pre-season fixture tomorrow (Tuesday), when they take on MLS side Colorado at their DSG Park home.

While they are in the States, Emery and his back room staff will be working hard in order to bring new faces to the club. Arsenal have been linked to a number of players, including William Saliba, Wilfried Zaha and Kieran Tierney, but so far the only arrival is 18-year-old left winger Gabriel Martinelli.

Take a look below for all of the biggest stories from around the Emirates Stadium over the last 24 hours.

New Tierney bid submitted

Reports on Sunday claimed that Arsenal have submitted a new and improved bid for Celtic star Kieran Tierney.

According to  the Sun, the Gunners have offered the Scottish Champions an increased bid of £25m for the full-back. If the bid is accepted it will be a record price for a player in the Scottish Premier League, eclipsing the £19.7m that Lyon paid for Moussa Dembele last summer.

Tierney is currently on the sidelines due to injury, but should be back within the month.

Reiss Nelson's skill

Reiss Nelson is highly rated at Arsenal, having spent last season on loan at Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.

Nelson has joined his Gunners teammates on the pre-season tour of America, where he will be hoping to impress manager Unai Emery in a bid to break into the first team during the 2019/20 season.

A video of Nelson showing off his skill and trickery, posted on Arsenal's social media has certainly got fans talking.

Here is where you can take a look at the video and read the full story .

Freddie Ljungberg's initiation

Another video from pre-season has also sparked a positive reaction.

Former player Freddie Ljungberg has bee promoted to a first team coaching role for this campaign, but with that promotion there is the dreaded initiation.

Ljungberg took to the stage during the club's tour of America, taking on a song which appears to be in his native Swedish. The video, posted by Arsenal players, certainly went down well with Gunners' fans.

Eddie Nketiah decision

Arsenal are planning to send Eddie Nketia out on loan this season, according to reports in the Sun .

The England U20 international made five Premier League appearances for the Gunners last season, but Unai Emery has decided that the 20-year-old will be best playing regular first team football next season, instead of being a bit part player at the Emirates.

Several clubs are said to have asked about the availability of the attacking player, but it seems that Championship club Bristol City are currently winning the race.

Nketiah is currently in America with Arsenal.
