Guardiola reacts to Jesus rumours

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said he "doesn't know and doesn't care" whether striker Gabriel Jesus stays at the club beyond this summer amid reports Arsenal are keen to sign him.

The Brazilian forward could be set to depart the Etihad this summer, with his contract at the club up at the end of next season and City inching ever closer to signing Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. But Jesus reminded his City boss of his strengths over the weekend as he bagged an impressive four goals in the 5-1 demolition of Watford.

That led to Guardiola being questioned about his striker's future following the match, and while he insisted he is "our player" the City boss admitted he doesn't "know what is going to happen".

The move would represent something of a switch in approach from the Gunners after they outspent all of the Premier League rivals to sign Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale, Martin Odegaard and Takehiro Tomiyasu for a combined £149million.

Manager Mikel Arteta is thought to be keen to bring in two new forwards in the summer, with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah set to leave when their contracts expire at the end of the season and with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang having also departed the Emirates in the January transfer window. And Edu has now spoken about the club's summer transfer plans as he revealed just how different the club's approach may be this summer.
