The new era at Arsenal can now begin as Mikel Arteta prepares to lead the Gunners for the first time.
The Gunners' new head coach watched on from the stands at Goodison Park as Arsenal drew 0-0 with Everton, with Freddie Ljungberg taking charge for the last time as interim head coach, after stepping into the role following Unai Emery's sacking last month.
There will have been plenty for the Spaniard to ponder as he watched the Gunners keep just a third clean sheet of the season in the Premier League, while some young players impressed, including Bukayo Saka and Reiss Nelson.
Arteta will now get to work with the team ahead of the Boxing Day clash with Bournemouth, as the Gunners look to try and get back into the top half, after dropping to 12th after the draw with Everton.
Below, we take a look at the latest Arsenal news ahead of Arteta's first game in the dugout.
Arteta's message
He may not have been in the dugout at Goodison Park, but Arsenal's new head coach Mikel Arteta made his presence known to the players.
The Spaniard was watching on from the stands on Merseyside, but he made a visit to the dressing room both before and after the game to speak to the players.

And Arsenal defender Calum Chambers told BT Sport what Arteta said to the team about we wanted to see from them against Everton.
"He just wants us to be brave, take responsibility and work hard for each other," Chambers said.
"Those were the messages from him.
"I feel we did that. Now there's more. We go to the training ground and there's a lot more we can work on."
Freddie Ljungberg's future
The 0-0 draw at Everton was his last game in charge as interim head coach, but Freddie Ljungberg's future has still not been confirmed by the club.
After the game at Goodison Park, the Swede was asked about what comes next for him, having stepped up to lead the team following the sacking of Unai Emery last month.

And while he hinted at staying in a post on social media this week, he gave an update on what the future holds for him with new head coach Mikel Arteta taking charge after the game.
“I spoke to him a little bit today and yesterday," said Ljungberg.
"The club have said they want me to stay and I am looking forward to having a chat with him (Arteta).”
Shearer's stark warning for Arteta
Mikel Arteta said at his first press conference as Arsenal's new head coach on Friday that he was well aware of the expectations at the Gunners.
And former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer has fired a stark warning to the Spaniard and the size of the task he faces in north London.
Speaking on BBC programme Match of the Day, Shearer said: “I know one thing, he’s got a massive job on at Arsenal because of where they were to where they are now.
"To get them back to where they want to be is going to take huge investment, time and patience from their fans because they are miles away from that.”
