Lucas Torreira looks set to finally leave Arsenal, having seen a move to Fiorentina collapse earlier this summer.

Arteta has led a revamp this summer, bringing in Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira, in a bid to see his side bounce back from that disappointment. But it does not appear that supporters believe that business has done enough to close the gap on Manchester City and Liverpool.

Gary Neville has been a leading critic of Arsenal's strategy under Mikel Arteta's management.

The former Manchester United captain recently doubled down on his feelings towards the direction the Spaniard is taking the Gunners in. He recently replied to one Arsenal fan by saying: : "You blew up with the best chance you’ll have of finishing 4th! Is that the strategy?"

Despite those thoughts, Arteta has now made a decision that flies in the face of Neville's thoughts. It is one that could lead to more criticism from Neville if it backfires, something Arteta will hope does not happen.
