The Premier League’s hectic Christmas calendar starts now. Just one day after Arsenal’s exciting 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford, Unai Emery will face the press at London Colney to preview the club’s weekend clash with struggling Huddersfield.
In a busy afternoon, Emery suggested that Matteo Guendouzi should get his hair cut after Marouane Fellaini pulled it back at Old Trafford.
There were also updates on Rob Holding and Mesut Ozil's injuries. Scroll through the live blog below to see everything Emery said.
It is not too long ago that encounters between Arsenal and Manchester United represented the apex of English football - relentless attacking play, all-out aggression but above all else, quality.
What, then, to make of this - a chaotic 2-2 draw that was defined by two teams in transition, profiting from each other's mistakes? Nobody ever expected the late 1990s to early 2000s peak from this 2018 edition, though it demonstrated how far both sides have to go to reach those heights.
For the first time since the summer of 1986, neither Sir Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger were watching this fixture from one of the two dugouts, allowing us to simultaneously take in two very different re-builds.
Emery refused to place individual blame on Kolasinac and instead praised his overall performance at Old Trafford
Looking back, how would you assess the Man United game?
"This is a very big challenge this week. We are going to finish Saturday abasing Huddersfield. At the moment we have a good feeling after a good result, but we needed to close with a victor on Saturday.
"It’s important first, the supporters fl a good situation in the games against Tottenham and Manchester United, away it’s a big challenge for us. We drew beck we worked to win and with a little more luck, we could have won the match. Now our focus is all on Huddersfield and the three points. It’s a team that are very well organised.
"They played in Bournemouth, hey lost but played well. They won at [Wolves] and every team has good players and organisation here in the PL. We need the same spirit as on Sunday. Every supporter needs to feel that with us, and push like they pushed against Tottenham. This draw yesterday is only good if we win against Huddersfield."
