Arsenal news: Emery's Lacazette problem, Mustafi transfer stance, Koscielny blasted

Arsenal are already looking ahead to their second game of the new Premier League season.

Three points on the opening day got the new campaign off to a perfect start and a home game with Burnley this weekend gives them the opportunity to make it six from six.

But there are still question marks over a number of their players, who could yet move on before the end of the month.

And while there are questions over players' futures, there are questions too, over how Unai Emery will set up his team, with several new signings to incorporate.

Here are the biggest Arsenal stories from the last 24 hours.

Mustafi transfer plans

The transfer window may be shut in England, but that is not the case in the other four big European leagues.

And that means English players can still leave these shores.

That could be good news for Arsenal, who are keen to offload a number of fringe players.

One of those who the Gunners would like to cash in on is Shkodran Mustafi, who has fallen down the pecking order following a number of poor displays last season.

Here are Arsenal's transfer plans for the German centre-back.

Lacazette conundrum

Arsenal started their Premier League campaign on Sunday with a win after defeating Newcastle United at St James’ Park. It was a tight game that saw Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang net the Gunners only goal in the 57th minute after finishing a great cross from Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

For the fixture, Unai Emery lined up in a 4-2-3-1 with Aubameyang tasked with leading the line. As a result, both Nicolas Pepe and Alexandre Lacazette were forced to settle for a spot on the bench.

Pepe came on for his debut, but Lacazette, who has been injured, remained on the bench.

Could that be a regular occurrence this season?

We take a look at the stats behind the Frenchman's displays at the Emirates compared with away from home.

Koscielny blast

Laurent Koscielny's Arsenal exit may have left a bitter taste in the mouths of the Gunners.

And it seems that the members of the Bordeaux camp were not exactly thrilled either.

Laurent Calippe was a scout for the French Ligu Un club until he was recently sacked.

And among other things, he has hit out at the French side for the decision to bring Kosicelny to the club from north London.

Bielsa's message

Marcelo Bielsa has hinted that he will build his Leeds United team around the talents of Eddie Nketiah.

The Arsenal starlet made his debut for the Yorkshire side in the Carabao Cup victory over Salford City - a game which saw Nketiah get his first goal for his new club.

Nketiah could play a huge role in Leeds' push for promotion this term and Marcelo Beilsa has admitted that the 20-year-old is 'a special player'.

Here's what Bielsa had to say.

And Bielsa was not the only one waxing lyrical.

The Arsenal fans were delighted for Nketiah too.
