Arsenal news: Dani Ceballos makes striker claim, Joe Willock's deal, Wilfried Zaha update

It's just two days until Arsenal are back in Premier League action.

The Gunners face Watford away from home and head coach Unai Emery does have some good new on the injury front, as well as a new deal signed for a talented youngster.

Ahead of the game at Vicarage Road, here's the latest news from around the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Willock signs new deal

Joe Willock has signed a new contract at Arsenal, the club have confirmed.

The 20-year-old midfielder has come through the ranks at the Emirates Stadium and made his senior debut in September 2017.

He made six first team appearances last season and has already played three times this year as he has made his mark on Unai Emery's first team plans.

And those impressive displays have been rewarded with a new contract at the Emirates.

The club have not revealed the length of the contract, only saying it is a "long-term" deal, but it is understood to run until the 2022/23 season.

Ceballos says Lacazette is the best at Arsenal

The Spanish midfielder has not had much time to familiarise himself with his new team-mates after joining on loan from Real Madrid but has already shown intriguing signs of an understanding with Arsenal's high-powered frontline, providing assists for Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a 2-1 win over Burnley on his Emirates Stadium debut.

What Bernd Leno has said about rivals Tottenham and Chelsea

If Bernd Leno did not already have the love of all the Arsenal fans, he will have won a few more over with what he has said about Chelsea and Tottenham.

With Petr Cech retiring, Leno is undoubtedly Arsenal's number one this season.

The German was criticised by Gary Neville during the North London Derby draw with Tottenham before the international break, for palming an Erik Lamela shot straight out into the path of Christian Eriksen to open the scoring.

But a couple of mistakes apart, the goalkeeper has impressed in his time at the Emirates since joining from Bayer Leverkusen last summer.
