Arsenal news: Buy-back clause for midfielder, January transfer plans, massive injury boost

We're on the home straight back to Premier League football.

The international break at the start of the season is never one top flight fans look forward to.

But we're more than halfway through it now and looking ahead to the weekend and Arsenal's game with Watford.

Head coach Unai Emery has plenty to think about ahead of that match.

As it's international break, we've been looking at a few things behind the scenes too, like Arsenal's plans for January.

Here we round up the biggest stories from around Arsenal in the past 24 hours.

Buy-back clause

Arsenal let a number of players leave the club this summer.

Alex Iwobi made a big-money move to Everton, while Laurent Koscielny made the move back to France to join Bordeaux.

There were plenty of others too.

But one of them could be back before you know it, because it has been revealed that the Gunners inserted a buy-back clause into his contract.

Find out who here.

January transfer plans

The summer transfer window was a successful one for Arsenal.

They broke their transfer record on Nicolas Pepe, from Lille, and added defensive reinforcements that were so necessary.

But they could have done even more.

The next transfer window is less than four months away, although it's a transfer window the Gunners do not utilise often.

However, if they do decide to go into the market, who could they sign?

We take a look at the six potential arrivals here.

Injury boost

We're over halfway through the international break now.

And that means Premier League football is just around the corner.

Arsenal travel to Watford on Sunday, and they will come up against a side that has a new manager in charge, after Quique Sanchez Flores replaced Javi Gracia, who was sacked on Saturday.

But while that may work against the Gunners, they could have a welcome injury boost too.

Find out who Unai Emery could call upon soon enough here.

Eddie Nketiah delight

Eddie Nketiah is giving Arsenal supporters plenty of reasons to be optimistic for the future.

The striker is on loan at Leeds United for the campaign, even going against Gunners head coach Unai Emery's wishes.

But the loan move is turning out to be the right call, after an impressive start to the season in the Championship.

And he earned a call-up to the England U21s squad too, impressing during the win over Turkey at the weekend.

Here's what the Arsenal fans noticed about his display.
