Arsenal news: Bukayo Saka warning, Liverpool Invincibles claim, lineup for Sheffield United

The Premier League returned after the international break, but Arsenal are yet to enjoy their return to action.

The Gunners take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Monday Night, with a place back in the top four open to them.

Our round-up of all the biggest news stories from around the Emirates Stadium includes a look at a summer signing and what he will bring to the team and the decisions Unai Emery has to make for the Blades clash.

All that and more is below.

Saliba stats

Arsenal are getting themselves one hell of a defender next summer.

That's if the teenager's 2019 statistics are anything to go by.

The Gunners completed a £27million deal for the 18-year-old centre-back in the summer, but a clause in the deal meant he stayed with St Etienne for another season on loan.

And the teenager has given Arsenal fans a glimpse of just what is to come with his displays for the French side since making his mark on the first team.

We took a look at the stats behind his 2019 involvement and Arsenal fans should be getting very excited indeed.

Here's what we found out.

Lineup for Sheffield United

The week's Premier League action is not over yet.

Arsenal travel to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United on Monday Night Football, knowing that they can return to third place in the Premier League table with a win.

And head coach Unai Emery has a number of decisions to make in his starting lineup for the match.

But who will he choose to take on the newly-promoted Blades, who have enjoyed a good start to their first season back in the top flight?

Our reporters have had their say here.

Invincibles claim

Liverpool's draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday brought an end to their long winning run in the Premier League.

The Reds were gunning for a share of the record, which stands at 18, set by Manchester City, but the stalemate put paid to that.

And there was one Manchester United legend who felt that the game against United was very similar to when Arsenal's Invincible run came to an end in 2004.

Bukayo Saka warning

Alexandre Lacazette could be ready to make his return to the Arsenal starting lineup against Sheffield United.

The Frenchman has missed most of the current campaign due to an ankle injury, but has been back in first team training.

Gunners fans have not seen very much of the Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe triumvirate yet, and one player does not want the Gunners fans to either.

Bukayo Saka has been something of a revelation since being given his opportunity in the first team and he's not prepared to give up his spot now.
