Arsenal news: Aubameyang's future statement, Willian transfer update, Man City injury blow

It was a good weekend for Arsenal as they made it three Premier League wins in a row in the hunt for European football next season.

The Gunners claimed a narrow 1-0 win against West Ham at the Emirates Stadium, courtesy of a controversial goal from Alexandre Lacazette, which was initially ruled out for offside, only to be given after a VAR review.

The win moved Arsenal up to ninth in the Premier League and to within one point of north London rivals Tottenham, who drew 1-1 with Burnley at Turf Moor, with Arsenal also having a game in hand on Spurs.

That is at Manchester City on Wednesday night, when Mikel Arteta will return to the Etihad Stadium for the first time since leaving his position as assistant manager to Pep Guardiola to take charge of the Gunners.

City will be stung after losing the Manchester derby to rivals United on Sunday afternoon.

Below, we take a look at the latest Arsenal news following the win against the Hammers.

Aubameyang's update

The Gunners star will have just one year remaining on his contract at the end of the current season, and he continues to be linked to some of Europe's top teams.

The 30-year-old is reportedly being targeted by Barcelona and Inter Milan in the summer, with both sides aware that they could get a top class attacker for a lower price due to his contract status.

Willian rumours heat up

Chelsea star Willian looks like he could be leaving the club at the end of the season.

The winger's contract is up this summer, and though talks have continued about a potential new deal, with just over two months of the season remaining the prospect of the Brazilian star leaving Stamford Bridge increases in likelihood.

The Brazilian star joined Chelsea in 2013, choosing to complete a move to West London over a transfer to Spurs from Anzhi Makhachkala.

Reports state that his time with the Blues will soon be over, with Chelsea's latest offer not convincing him to stay.

Arsenal are among the teams linked with a move for the attacker, and they have a distinct advantage over rival offers.

Man City injury news

Manchester City and Pep Guardiola might have been delivered another injury scare ahead of Wednesday night's Premier League clash against Arsenal.

The defending Premier League champions were in action against Manchester United yesterday afternoon, losing 2-0 to Anthony Martial's first-half goal and a late effort from Scott McTominay.

Still trying to delay the inevitable of Liverpool being crowned champions of England, City welcome the Gunners to the Etihad Stadium next week in a big game for both teams.

But they could be without two of their big stars.
