Arsenal morning headlines as Wolves send Raul Jimenez message and board given Aubameyang advice

Here are your Arsenal headlines for the morning of Tuesday, March 31.

Remembering Rocky

It is the 19th anniversary of the death of Arsenal legend David “Rocky” Rocastle and his sister Karen has been speaking to football.london about the legacy of the Gunners winger.

"He was just a south London boy from Brockley," Karen said. "Rather than mourning his death, we celebrate his life because the fans are keeping his memory alive."

"Every year since his passing there has always been a big remembrance for him.

Who is Arsenal's first choice left-back?

"There’s an American lady that comes over with a massive banner that’s been signed by Thierry Henry and others. She’ll walk around the Emirates with this banner and there are others who sing his chants and they still remember him. That makes it easier for us every year on his anniversary."

Wolves shut down Raul Jimenez interest

Raul Jimenez will not be available for any price this summer despite interest from Arsenal and Manchester United in the Wolves forward.

According to the Daily Star, Wolves’ billionaire Chinese owners have issued a “hands off” warning to any clubs interested in the 28-year-old, including Real Madrid.

The Mexican, who has scored 22 goals in 45 games this season, is under contract for another three years and the Midlands club have no intention of cashing in on him yet.

Nicholas urges Arsenal to pay Aubameyang whatever he wants

Former Arsenal star Charlie Nicholas says the Gunners should simply pay Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang whatever he wants in order to keep him, even if it means letting Mesut Ozil go in order to afford the Gabon international’s wages.

“While I do believe that Arsenal need to fund a rebuild, my preference would be to offer Aubameyang what he wants,” the former Scottish forward said on The Debate on Sky Sports.

“Is it possible Ozil could move on? Could this then help fund wages for Aubameyang and others?

“If they can get Ozil off the wage bill without getting anything for him, it will not be too much of a detriment.

“They must give Aubameyang exactly what he wants. There simply aren’t many other players like him at that level.”
