Arteta’s goalkeeping dilemma
Since Bernd Leno suffered a serious season-ending injury back in June, Emiliano Martinez has deputised as the club’s No.1 goalkeeper.
The Argentine started the FA Cup final in Leno’s absence and retained his spot for the recent win over Liverpool in the FA Community Shield.
But with the start of the new Premier League season now just four days away, and Leno back fit, Arteta has a very difficult choice to make.
Should the Gunners boss elect to reinstall Leno as his preferred shot-stopper, Martinez - who is being heavily linked with a move to Aston Villa - could make the decision to leave the club in the search of regular playing time.
