Here are the Arsenal morning headlines for Wednesday, August 5.
Mkhitaryan must go before Willian deal
Arsenal must offload Henrikh Mkhitaryan before completing the signing of Willian from Chelsea.
That is according to a report in The Sun, via the Daily Mail, which claims the Armenian has to leave north London for next season before the club can afford to complete the deal for Willian.
Mkhitaryan spent this season on loan with Romal after a £2.5million deal was agreed, and talks are in place for a similar arrangement next campaign.
The Gunners are said to be willing to offer a three-year deal for Willian while the Blues are only offering the player a further two years on his contract.
Arsenal want Gabriel
Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes is in high demand this summer and Arsenal have moved into pole position to land him.
That is according to a report in France Bleu Nord, which claims the Gunners are keen on a deal following strong interest from both Napoli and Manchester United.
The Gunners will be keen to add a central defender to their squad this summer and will view the position as a priority area for upgrading.
Martinez eyes Argentina return
The past two months have seen a remarkable rise to prominence for Emiliano Martinez following his decade-long stint at Arsenal.
The Argentine has starred for Mikel Arteta’s side following an injury to Bernd Leno and played a huge role in helping land the FA Cup on Saturday.
However, Martinez has claimed he would consider a return to former club Independiente in the future as he left the club at such a young age.
Martinez told ESPN: "I was not planning to leave young. I wanted to play in Independiente’s first team and go to Europe.
"It happened as it happened, I could not say no to Arsenal.
"Going back to Independiente is something that I’ll never rule out, they’re the one that gave me the opportunity to be in Europe.
"But today I cannot assure anything, I want to return with a good level, I wouldn’t do it at 35 without a good level. I see my career on the rise, I can’t confirm it."
