Arsenal morning headlines as Orkun Kokcu breaks silence on transfer links, Thomas Partey warning

Here are the Arsenal morning headlines for Thursday, June 11.

Kokcu addresses future

Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu has spoken out on his future, with Arsenal thought to be keen to sign the teenager this summer.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a fine season in the Eredivisie and is under contract with Feyenoord until 2023.

Nevertheless, Arsenal hope to bring the Turkey international to the Emirates ahead of next term.

The impact of Arsenal's lost match-day income

But Kokcu insists he is in no rush to leave Feyenoord, the club he first joined as a 14-year-old.

"It doesn’t really matter to me, frankly. My father and my agent are busy with that," the youngster told RTV Rijnmond. "I try to isolate myself from that. That works fine. Fortunately, I am a footballer and not an agent.

"I want to make the best of it next season and want to be as fit as possible when the competition starts again.”

Partey’s dad sends Arsenal message

Thomas Partey’s father has again spoken out on his son’s future, with Arsenal continuing to be linked with the midfielder.

Partey Sr. first revealed the Atletico Madrid man could be moving to north London in April.

The Ghana international has a £44m release clause in his contract, but Jacob Partey has reiterated the need for Arsenal to meet that if they are to sign him.

''My son's current club Atletico Madrid has a release clause in Partey's deal...this means that any club which shows interest in signing him must meet those demands',” he told SilverOnline.

''So whether Arsenal, or any team, meets Atletico's demand (they) will be able to sign my son and as rumoured in a section of the media.

“'I always call my son and he is of age to decide on a move… I am ready to support his decision and will also support the team he chooses to move to."

PSG keen on former target

Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up a move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, according to 90min.com.

Arsenal missed out on the Ivory Coast international last summer after failing to meet Palace’s asking price.

The Gunners instead turned to Zaha’s international team-mate, Nicolas Pepe, who joined for a club-record £72million fee.

And PSG are now hoping to take advantage of Arsenal’s failure to land the 27-year-old ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Zaha recently linked up with agent Pini Zahavi in a bid to earn a move to a Champions League club.

Borussia Dortmund are also thought to be interested in Zaha, with Jadon Sancho set to depart the club this summer.
