Thomas Partey (thigh) and Gabriel Martinelli (knee) are both out injured for the Gunners while Calum Chambers and Pablo Mari are not yet back to fitness, as per football.london.

Predicted Arsenal XI: Leno; Bellerin, Luiz, Gabriel, Tierney, Saka; Xhaka, Ceballos, Willian, Aubameyang, Lacazette.

Gunners backed for January deals

Arsenal legend Alan Smith has backed the club to invest in a new striker this January amid the current goal drought at the club.

The Gunners have just nine goals in eight league games and have scored just once in their last four games - from the penalty spot.

Despite Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah being options within the squad, Smith has backed the club to invest in a new forward this January.

"Willian's come in and not quite reached the levels he had at Chelsea, Pepe is hot and cold, for £70-odd million, that's been a disappointing signing so far, Alexandre Lacazette hasn't kicked on from his first season as well," Smith told Sky Sports , as per football.london .

"Eddie Nketiah is a little inexperienced to lean on week-in, week-out, and Gabriel Martinelli is still a way off, as good as he is.

"So, that is an area that Arteta might be a little worried about."

Concern for Willian

Willian has not yet found the back of the net for Arsenal following his summer move from Chelsea and former Gunners star Paul Merson has expressed his concern.

The Brazilian has provided two assists but has yet to hit the heights for the club as he did in his spell across London and Merson believes improving his performance is fundamental for his former club.

Merson told Sky Sports, as quoted by Metro and thesportreview.com : “I think I’m seeing things at the moment.

“Willian was unbelievable at Chelsea last year. For me, he was probably one of the best Chelsea players. He was phenomenal – an outstanding talent. He has gone to Arsenal and he looks lost. They have got to get him performing.”
