Here are your Arsenal morning headlines for Monday, April 6.
Sagna delivers Aubameyang warning
Bacary Sagna believes Arsenal “cannot afford to lose” Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer.
The Gabon international’s contract at the Emirates Stadium expires next year and he has emerged as a transfer target for rival sides.
But Sagna, who was an Arsenal player when the club sold Robin van Persie to Manchester United in 2012, thinks the Gunners should offer Aubameyang a lucrative new deal to prevent him leaving.
“He can’t go now because Arsenal are on the way to building something strong,” he told Goal .
“They can’t afford to lose him. If they have to pay him, then just pay him because if they want someone else of his quality they cost £150m.
“So don’t spend this £150m, just spend £50m and give it to him. It’s the same as Van Persie and I think you have to learn from that situation.”
Arsenal keen on talented teenager
Arsenal are weighing up a move for Stoke defender Nathan Collins, but Chelsea are also interested.
The 18-year-old has only made nine appearances in the Championship this season but is already considered a star in the making.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international is under contract with Stoke until 2024, having signed a new deal last summer.
However, Arsenal are considering an attempt to prise him away from the Potteries as they seek to bolster their defensive ranks.
The Gunners have numerous centre-halves already on the books but are mindful that Sokratis Papastathopoulos, David Luiz and Shkodran Mustafi will all enter the final year of their contracts in July.
Arsenal make bid for Kurzawa
Arsenal have opened talks with PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa, according to Sport .
The France international has been linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes having made only 16 starts in all competitions this term.
The Spanish publication states that Arsenal and Napoli have made “interesting offers” to the defender’s entourage.
Kurzawa is out of contract on June 30 and will therefore be available on a free transfer this summer.
However, the Gunners face competition for his signature from Barcelona as well as Napoli.
