Here are your Arsenal morning headlines for Monday, 19 October.
Arsenal could face competition to sign Szoboszlai
Arsenal are interested in signing RB Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, football.london understands.
But the Gunners are expected to face a battle with RB Leipzig, who are also monitoring the 19-year-old’s availability.
Szoboszlai has been watched on several occasions by Arsenal scouts and could be brought in as an alternative to Lyon’s Houssem Aouar.
Leipzig, though, might be favourites to secure the youngster’s signature given their connections with Salzburg.
Arsenal loanee takes to social media after La Liga debut
Lucas Torreira has sent a message to his new fans after making his debut for Atletico Madrid in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Celta Vigo.
The Arsenal midfielder, who joined Atletico on loan late in the summer transfer window, impressed alongside Koke in the centre of the park.
After the win, Torreira took to Instagram and wrote: “Happy for my debut in @laliga especially because we got three very important points on a difficult field. To keep working and improving the team.”
Arsenal legend urges Arteta to switch to back four
Tony Adams has insisted Arsenal should change to a back four despite a positive start to the season using a 3-4-3 system.
Mikel Arteta has had success with that formation, leading the Gunners to an FA Cup title and Community Shield win.
But former Arsenal captain Adams is not convinced.
“I think it's time for a back four. I've been saying it since the start of the season,” he told Premier League Productions - via the Mail.
“It wins you cup games, it doesn't win you league titles.
“I think he's got problems with Hector (Bellerin), I think his defending today (Saturday) wasn't very good at all.
“But I'd like him to go to a back four. They've got Gabriel now, get him a partnership.
“They've been unlucky at the start with (Rob) Holding going down but get them into a back four.
“They look like they've a holding midfielder now who's got a bit of presence and build for the future.
