Arsenal morning headlines as Arteta dismisses bizarre Keane claim and Gabriel transfer analysed

Good morning, Arsenal fans. Here are your morning headlines for Thursday, November 5.

Arteta dismisses bizarre Keane claim

Oh, how we all love Roy Keane. He’s great for a soundbite, and a rant is never far away if Manchester United have the temerity to lose a game of football.

His latest comments on Arsenal really were strange, though. After Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang referred to the Gunners’ manager by his first name in a post-match interview, Keane accused him of not showing Mikel Arteta enough respect.

The Spaniard brushed the issue aside when speaking about his relationship with the players ahead of Arsenal’s Europa League match with Molde.

"The way I feel with them, I feel so close with them, some of them we even played together,” he said. “For me, it's not an issue. It's not the way I would feel respected or disrespected."

See what else Arteta had to say on the matter, as well as his thoughts on his reservations about managing players who he played with at Arsenal, here.

Likely side to face Molde

Arsenal are in great shape in Europa League Group B, having won their opening two matches. But the same is true of their opponents tonight: Molde.

With Rapid Vienna and Dundalk yet to pick up a point, the games with the Norwegian side will likely determine whether the Gunners top the group or not.

So who should start this evening? Arteta has described the fixture as “probably the most difficult game that we've played so far in the competition,” so will he be tempted to go with a strong starting XI?

Chris Wheatley has predicted the Arsenal line up, so have a look and see if you agree with his selections.

Gabriel deemed an “absolute steal”

While Arsenal fans may love to know what their former centre-back Sol thinks about new signing Gabriel Magalhaes, the Campbell who has commented on the matter is Kevin.

He has been speaking to Football Insider about the former Lille defender, and he has been very impressed with what he has seen so far.

“He is powerful, quick, strong, good on the ball and good in the air – Arsenal stole him for that price!”

Campbell also comments on how Gabriel is different from other recent Arsenal defenders, and what he has done to prove he is a top class player.
