Arsenal meeting with striker confirmed as sporting director reveals Raul Sanllehi transfer plans

Arsenal are interested in signing teenage forward Emil Roback from Hammarby, according to reports.

The 17-year-old forward has attracted interest from both Arsenal and Bayern Munich, and the Gunners have reportedly made the first move by inviting the striker to visit the club's training facilities.

Hammarby sporting director Jesper Jansson admitted that the Swedish club face a battle to hold onto the highly-rated teen.

And Jansson also confirmed that the striker has travelled to London to visit London Colney.

“There is a strong interest …he has also been to Arsenal," he told Swedish outlet Fotboll Direkt.

"Yes, I understand the interest.

“He is forward with a great physique and speed and already a skilled scorer.”

Hammarby scout Mikael Hjelmberg outlined what Roback would bring to the Gunners, describing him as quick, strong and a natural marksman.

"Emil is a forward with a very good physique," he said. "He has an extreme speed and is a natural goalscorer."

Roback's potential arrival could fill the gap created by the likely departure of Folarin Balogun.

The Arsenal academy graduate is set to leave the club after failing to agree terms on a new contract.
