Arsenal make Victor Osimhen 'contact' as Jules Kounde's friend considered with Serie A option

Arsenal are expected to have a very busy summer transfer window, as manager Mikel Arteta plans to continue moulding the squad into one that fully represents his footballing identity.

Both the Spaniard and technical director Edu were criticised for the recruitment strategy taken last summer, with many questioning whether the club had actually improved their squad. But despite a couple of poor results suffered in the Gunners' last two fixtures, it's fair to say that their summer arrivals have impressed Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White, and Martin Odegaard, all producing consistent league performances.

Ahead of the upcoming window, strengthening the defence, midfield, and attack is imperative if Arteta's project moves forward positively and football.london understands that Stan Kroenke is willing to put his money where his mouth his like he did last summer.

What?

Napoli and Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen is 'flattered' by the initially 'contact's Edu and co have made ahead of a big transfer swoop in the upcoming summer window as the Gunners finally move somewhat closer to securing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's long-term replacement.

That's according to journalist Emanuele Cammaroto, who says the Gunners still have some work to do to convince the Nigerian to a move to the Emirates.

"The big names of the Premier League are following him and are beginning to come forward, but Napoli's idea is to keep the Nigerian centre forward at least for another season unless there are significant proposals," Area Napoli report him saying.

"At the moment, Arsenal has come forward and has sounded out the player's entourage.

"Osimhen has registered the interest of the Gunners, and it seems that he has been flattered by the proposal, but he doesn't consider Arsenal a first choice for his career.

"The former Lille bomber wants to play in the Champions League with Napoli, and then he will choose his future."

Who?

Alvaro Morata

Atletico Madrid are happy to hear that Arsenal are still considering former Chelsea flop Alvaro Morata as one of their striking options for the summer as Diego Simeone looks to offload the Spaniard.

That's according to the Spanish outlet who say that the side knocked out of the Champions League a few days ago by Man City is pleased to hear about the increased competition and interest for the current Juventus number 9.

The recent suggestion has been that the north Londoners could pay the €35m (£29m) Atlético are looking for, and Super Deporte says Mikel Arteta's side considers that something of a bargain.

They believe Morata is a 'very interesting player' to complete their forward line and are 'convinced' that for that amount, they will not be able to find anyone else on the market that has the striker's 'quality'.

Remember, Arsenal were linked to a late deadline day move for the ex-Real Madrid man, but nothing came to fruition that time round.

Who?

Clement Lenglet

What?

Arsenal and Newcastle have made enquiries for Jules Kounde's friend and current Barcelona centre-half Clement Lenglet, who reportedly isn't in any of Xavi's plans in the long-term.

Lenglet has started just four league games this season, and manager Xavi doesn't see him as a significant asset anymore after Ronald Araujo committed his long-term future to the Camp Nou.

According to the Spanish outlet, he will be allowed to leave, and Newcastle, Arsenal and Inter Milan have already sent enquiries to the Spanish giants.

Who?

Gleison Bremer

Where?

Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness

What?

Other than Lenglet and a few others, Arsenal have joined the long list of suitors for Torino man Bremer.

The Italian outlet states the 'number of admirers is in constant upward' trend, including Arsenal and Newcastle United. The 25-year-old has seen his suitor's list grow even after he signed a new deal at the Turin club earlier this year.

The Gunners and Eddie Howe's side have joined the likes of Inter Milan, Napoli, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Atlético Madrid, and a few other English clubs in chasing the Brazilian.

It's claimed 'everyone wants him', and the defender has seen his 'valuation shot past the €50 million mark [£41m]' due to his impressive displays for Torino this season.
