Arsenal 'make contact' with Youri Tielemans as Edu makes progress on double Serie A transfer

Welcome to our football.london The Arsenal Way daily news round-up. Maybe not the first, we've definitely done transfer round-ups before, and European round-ups, so I guess in some ways it's not that new at all.

Anyway, we thought we would enter the world of football in a broad and roundabout manner for you and have some fun with some of the stories and captions doing the daily rounds.

Tielemans on transfer list

Arsenal have been linked with Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans for some time but now the Gunners have reportedly spoken to the Belgium international agent over a potential transfer.

The player only has 18 months left and is looking unlikely to sign an extension with the East Midlands club. With other clubs in the mix to sign the player, Arsenal have spoken to his representatives at Colney to talk over a deal.

Fiorentina want money up front fot Vlahovic

Fiorentina are asking for the majority of their €75m asking price for Arsenal target, Dusan Vlahovic. According to the Independent, this will be just above £60m.

This will be troublesome for Arsenal who are apparently willing to meet the Italian club's fee for the player but wants to pay only if the club can comprise on the money being paid in a payment structure.

But, Fiorentina are reluctant and this all could mean Arsenal will lose out on the Serbian who is not short of offers.

Arsenal make a Melo request

Goal have reported that Arsenal have ‘made contact' with Juventus over a possible loan deal for Arthur Melo. They state that both clubs have talked of acquiring the midfielder, with Arsenal willing to settle for a loan spell.

The outlet also have reported that the Italian giants are willing to do a deal with the North London club, but nothing will be put to pen and paper until they find a replacement in Turin.

Our take: Arsenal does need to bolster their midfield so a loan spell might just be a perfect short-term option for Mikel Arteta.
