Here is your Arsenal morning digest for Sunday, May 2.
Arteta confirms Smith Rowe plan
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the Gunners have plans to hold talks with youngster Emile Smith Rowe about the prospect of him signing a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.
Smith Rowe has been one of Arsenal's best performers in what has been a largely uninspiring season, with many Gunners supporters confident that he can be at the epicentre of this team for years to come.
Although he is under contract until the end of the 2022/23 season, Arteta has revealed that Arsenal have plans to hold fresh contract talks with the midfielder.
The Spaniard said: "We are going to have that discussion.
"I think Emile has earned the right to look at that situation because of the performances that he has produced. He's very much engaged and wants to continue with us, that's for sure."

Villarreal dealt key injury blow
Spanish outfit Villarreal look highly likely to be without defender Juan Foyth for Thursday evening's UEFA Europa League semi-final second-leg clash with Arsenal.
The Tottenham Hotspur loanee was forced off during the first-leg in Spain on Thursday with an injury, which Villarreal have now confirmed is a hamstring injury.
Up until being forced off, Foyth was one of the La Liga outfit's best players, meaning his absence will most probably be felt by manager Unai Emery.
Issuing an update on his condition, a statement released by the Spanish club said: "After the tests carried out, it has been confirmed that footballer Juan Foyth suffered muscle damage to the hamstrings of his left leg during the first leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-finals against Arsenal FC.
"The recovery time will be subject to the evolution of the player."

Arteta makes Willock admission
On-loan Newcastle United midfielder Joe Willock has the chance to make a name for himself at the Emirates Stadium.
That is according to Gunners boss Arteta, who allowed the central midfielder to join Newcastle on loan for the remainder of the season in the search for more regular game-time back in February.
Willock has made a real name for himself on Tyneside, scoring four goals in the club's battle against avoiding relegation.
But despite having been farmed out on loan back in the winter transfer window, Arteta says that he still has a chance to prove himself.
The Spaniard told Sky Sports: “It was a difficult decision to let him go but he needed more game-time. He has a chance [here]."
That admission will be disappointing for Newcastle chief Steve Bruce, as he has already set his sights on keeping hold of him in the North East.
