Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah celebrates Leeds match-winner: 'Anyone call for a goal?'

Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah has taken to social media to celebrate scoring on his home debut for Leeds United.

The England Under-21 international - who moved to Elland Road on a season-long deal earlier this month - was introduced as a late substitute during Wednesday's clash with Brentford and had been on the pitch for only four minutes when he tapped home Helder Costa's pass from close range to seal a 1-0 win that moved Marcelo Bielsa's side to the top of the Championship.

It was Arsenal academy graduate Nketiah's second goal for Leeds in two appearances after he also netted on his debut - a comfortable 3-0 victory over Salford City in the first round of the Carabao Cup on August 13.

Taking to Instagram and Twitter following the defeat of a Brentford team marshalled by former Leeds favourite Pontus Jansson, a jubilant Nketiah said: "Anyone call for a goal? Big 3 points at Elland Road tonight, Glory be to God."

The introductions of Costa and Nketiah obviously proved crucial for promotion chasers Leeds on Tuesday, though Bielsa refused to take any credit for the influential substitutions after their fourth win of the season.

"I think we deserved to win the game, we dominated the game. We didn't create a lot of goal chances, but enough chances to make a difference," he said.

"It was a physical and demanding game and the best moment we took.

"It was lucky (the substitutions) because only sometimes these things can happen, because the skill of the coaches is not making the decision of the players who make the last pass or score the goal."
