Patrick Vieira has responded to claims that he should be the next Arsenal head coach.
The Gunners parted company with Unai Emery on Friday morning after 18 months in charge and the likes of Mikel Arteta, Brendan Rodgers, Max Allegri and Mauricio Pochettino among others have all been tipped as potential replacements.
Yet David Seaman threw Vieira's name into the mix following the Spaniard's departure.
"Well what I really want from Arsenal is for them to be more exciting and don’t go for a manager tried and tested, go for someone exciting that is up and coming," the former goalkeeper told Sky Sports News.
"I've seen a lot of names mentioned....Eddie Howe, Allegri and Arteta. You know what, someone like Patrick Vieira.
"I'm sure the fans would love to see Patrick back at the club and give him ago. Just be different and try something different."
But what does Vieira make of being linked with a return to Arsenal? Well, he discussed the ongoing speculation after watching his Nice side come from behind to beat
"I have never complained about my situation nor claimed to have a desire to leave," he told Canal Plus, as per Get Football News France. "Everything happening around me is not affecting me in any way."
Then when asked 'So you feel good at Nice?' He responded by saying: "As I always have."

Whilst the search for the Gunners' next head coach gets underway, Freddie Ljungberg - a former teammate of Vieira - has been placed in temporary charge.
And club director Josh Kroenke explained the decision to replace Emery with the Swede.
"First and foremost Freddie has Arsenal DNA," he said. "Obviously he was a player here for a number of years, the supporters know him very well and he's worked diligently behind the scenes for the past several years, including the last year and a half or so with Arsenal again.
"So it's been great to have him around, he knows the club's DNA and we feel he is the right person in the moment to take the club forward.
"My message to Freddie and the players was let's get back to basics and most importantly let's get back to having some fun. I think footballers are at their best when I see smiles on their faces and going out there and winning matches.
"That's a winning formula to me.
"Our process [of selecting a new manager] is already underway. It's going to be led by Raul, Vinai, Edu and Huss here internally.
"I look forward to getting with them and working closely with them throughout this process."
