Arsenal legend on two reasons why Liverpool 'will get it done' this season

Liverpool made hard work of their 2-1 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

Joe Gomez may have been fouled in the build-up to the opening goal , but neither the referee or VAR noted any infringement and the Reds seemed to have a lapse in concentration when Callum Wilson tapped in at the back post moments after.

There were also points in the match where Jurgen Klopp's side looked a little sloppy and conceded a major chance late on but they once again showed true grit and resilience to fight back with goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the first-half making the difference.

Speaking on Match of the Day, Arsenal legend Ian Wright praised the two Liverpool goalscorers and believes they are the ones who "make something happen" for the European champions.

The former striker said: “ Liverpool have been magnificent all season and you are going to get it done when these two are on the pitch because of the quality that they have. Jack Simpson has only made four appearances this season and look how quick Mane realises that his touch is poor, nicks the ball of him and finds the pass. This looks like an easy finish [Salah’s goal] but he has to set himself here and it is a brilliant finish. A very good finish.

“Whether people are tight on them or not, they find half a yard and punish you. Even though it may not be going well, they can make something happen.”
