Arsenal legend Ian Wright responds to Lee Johnson after telling Eddie Nketiah to go to Leeds United instead of Bristol City

Ian Wright says he is looking to arrange a trip to Bristol City following Lee Johnson's invite.

The Arsenal legend joked with the Robins boss on last night's Monday Night Club on Five Live as the duo talked about Eddie Nketiah's move to Leeds.

City had thought they had won the race to take the Arsenal striker on loan, but Leeds swooped at the last minute to instead sign the 20-year-old.

It was a blow to the Robins, having chased Nketiah for most of the summer, but they eventually landed Benik Afobe from Stoke City.

Johnson made an appearance on the Mark Chapman-fronted radio show last night and was asked about Nketiah before Wright admitted he had told the striker to join Leeds instead of the Robins.

It led to Johnson inviting Wright down to Ashton Gate for a talk with City's young strikers, and Wright subsequently tried to arrange the visit on Twitter.

"I did mention for him to go there!" Wright said on the radio. "I said to him, you seen what Tammy can do there, they can create but you've got the crowds and everything (at Leeds) and that's what I think he was attracted by."

"I'll have to invite you down to Bristol City, aren't I?" Johnson replied. "You can see what we're all about."

Wright seemed eager to take up the offer and said he will have to make the trip.

"I'm coming down to Bristol City," Wright said. "I'm coming down to watch them.

"When you're ready, man, when you're ready."
