Ian Wright has questioned Marcelo Bielsa's tactical flexibility and insisted nobody can replicate Kalvin Phillips' role for Leeds United.
The Whites have been without their star midfielder since losing 1-0 to Wolves in October.
Phillips' initial diagnosis suggested he would be out for six weeks which would rule him out until the start of December but the midfielder hinted he could return for Sunday's clash against Arsenal at Elland Road.
The 24-year-old gave a further update on his injury during a Twitch conversation with teammate Leif Davis while the pair played Warzone.
"How's your shoulder feel now?" Davis asked in a clip posted on Reddit.
"It's still sore mate, it's been sore for ages. I'm meant to get an injection at the end of the international break," Phillips responded.
"So you can play against Arsenal?" Davis asked, to which his teammate replied: "Yeah. Hopefully, anyway."
Without Phillips, Leeds beat Aston Villa 3-0 but then lost back-to-back Premier League matches 4-1 to Leicester City and Crystal Palace.
Ahead of Arsenal's clash with Leeds, Wright has suggested that Leeds are overreliance on Phillips and questioned how tactically flexible Bielsa is.
“Did you see when Leeds came and played us in the FA Cup?” he told the Wrighty’s House podcast.
“They gave us a chasing bro. Oh my God, it was a joy to watch what they did to my team!
“But what you see is how reliant it is on every single player doing their exact specific jobs.
“You look at Kalvin Phillips missing, they lost 4-1 only because nobody else can play the role that he plays.
“He doesn’t have a plan B. We know exactly what Bielsa is going to do. He’s not going to come and say ‘they’ve changed’, there’s nothing to work out.”
