Tottenham Hotspur have made up for lost time this summer by signing the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso after two windows without any new faces.
It has led to increased expectations in the capital for Mauricio Pochettino's men, who opened the 2019/20 Premier League season with a 3-1 home victory over Aston Villa.
Ndombele was brought in for a club record fee of £53.8m, while Lo Celso has arrived on loan from Real Betis with a view to acquiring the 23-year-old permanently.
Ryan Sessegnon signed from Fulham just before deadline day, while Jack Clarke put pen to paper on a Tottenham deal in July but was loaned back to Leeds United for this season.
All of this business has increased the potential of the Spurs' squad
And one former Arsenal star in Ian Wright has provided a lofty prediction on where he believes the Pochettino's men can finish.
Spurs competed for the title last season until the turn of the year, before Manchester City and Liverpool pulled away.
Whilst Wright stopped short of predicting Spurs to compete for the title during the entire campaign, he does think that they can jump up two spots from a four-place finish last term.
"For me, it’s not shocking, I think it is possible (top-two finish)," Wright told the BBC. "You look at the Spurs team, especially with Ndombele, not sure what’s happening with Eriksen, Lo Celso.
"The fact is, they have to keep players fit."
