Arsenal 'interested' in signing Premier League winger and it's not Pedro Neto

Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha is one of the names on Arsenal's shortlist of winger targets, according to recent reports.

The Gunners are looking to offload club-record signing Nicolas Pepe this summer, with the Ivorian said to be keen on a return to Ligue 1. The likes of Wolves' Pedro Neto and Villarreal starlet Yeremy Pino have been mooted as potential targets to replace Pepe but transfer guru Dean Jones has now claimed that Zaha is also an option for technical director Edu.

Speaking about Arsenal's options on The Done Deal Show, Jones said: "They’re not the only two names they’re looking at (Neto and Pino). In the background, there is Wilfried Zaha.

"That deal is not moving forward at the moment, but Zaha is definitely one of those players that ticks the boxes and that Arsenal have an eye on. We will have to wait and see if they go down that path, Zaha is obviously in red-hot form at the moment."

Former Arsenal boss Unai Emery had tried to bring Zaha to the club back in the summer of 2019 before the north Londoners eventually signed his compatriot Pepe instead. The Palace forward, who is into the final ten months of his contract at Selhurst Park, has enjoyed a solid start to the 2022/23 campaign, netting three Premier League goals already this term.
