Arsenal have suffered a fresh injury blow heading into the international break.
Thomas Partey has been ruled out with a groin injury that will keep him out of Ghana duty as well as potentially seven games.
The midfielder sat out Sunday’s win over Manchester United along with Jurrien Timber, who is out long-term.
Mohamed Elneny was also absent having last played at the start of the year.

Thomas Partey
Arsenal fans got a shock before the United game when Ghana’s FA revealed that Partey had picked up an injury and would be out for a few weeks.
Although the midfielder was at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, he was indeed injured as a short statement from the Gunners before kick-off confirmed.
Mikel Arteta spoke after the game to confirm that Partey picked up the issue in training and will be back towards the end of next month, approximately, likely ruling him out of Champions League fixtures against PSV and Lens plus Premier League games against Tottenham, Everton and Manchester City, among others.
“Unfortunately he got an injury in training and it doesn’t look good,” he said. “We need some more tests, we believe he’s going to be out for weeks. We think it’s a groin but can be something in between.”
Jurrien Timber
It remains unclear if Timber will be back to play again this season.
After picking up a serious knee injury in his home debut against Nottingham Forest, the Dutch defender posted an image of himself on crutches last week in an update to fans.
Reports suggest the player has officially begun his recovery process after surgery a fortnight ago.
Mohamed Elneny
There has been some mystery around Elneny’s continued absence given he returned to training from a serious knee injury in May but has still not played since.
Arsenal have not confirmed a setback or any reason for a delay, however his wait may be over amid Partey’s spell on the sidelines.
Football.London report on Elneny stating he will be “back soon” as he spoke to journalists after the United game.
