Arsenal injury update: Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira latest news and return dates

Arsenal hope to return from their winter break training camp with a number of first-team stars back from injury.

A squad featuring multiple sidelined players has retreated to Dubai during the Gunners' fortnight off, ahead of Saturday's clash with Crystal Palace.

Gabriel Jesus is among those who has been spotted training as he eyes the visit of the Eagles, along with Fabio Vieira.

Oleksandr Zinchenko may be able to make his return then too, whereas Thomas Partey has reportedly received a boost in his comeback.

Here is your latest update of Arsenal injury news and return dates...

Gabriel Jesus

The knee injury which kept Jesus out of the FA Cup defeat to Liverpool was described as "minor" at the time and he has since made big steps towards his return to action.

Pictured in training during the Dubai break, Arsenal will hope he comes through without further issues to close in on his return.

Potential return date: Saturday January 20, vs Crystal Palace

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Zinchenko has not yet been pictured on the training pitches in the Middle East as he recovers from a calf injury.

However, Standard Sport reported last week that he is making good progress with the Gunners perhaps taking precautions given the nature of his problem.

Fabio Vieira

One player who has been seen in the Dubai workouts is Vieira, who underwent surgery on his groin in November.

Mikel Arteta said at the time that the winter break was earmarked for his comeback, but it remains to be seen if he will be considered ready to play on the weekend.

Thomas Partey

While absent from the Africa Cup of Nations, Partey is expected to have to wait a little longer before he can make his playing return.

A report in the Mail has claimed that he is nonetheless looking good to play again this month following his thigh injury.

Potential return date: Tuesday January 30, vs Nottingham Forest

Jurrien Timber

Arteta provided an update on Timber's long-term absence due to a serious knee injury before the recent defeat to Liverpool, with the spring earmarked as his earliest possible return.

"He is doing really well but he is still far from being fit to train with the team, or something to compete with the team so we don’t expect him back anytime soon," said the Arsenal boss.
