Arsenal injury, suspension list: Team news for Premier League match vs Cardiff

Arsenal's injury crisis deepened on Friday as Laurent Koscielny and Sokratis were forced off in the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United.

Manager Unai Emery was already struggling for options at the back before the loss after cruciate knee ligament injuries ruled out two of his other defenders, Rob Holding in December and Hector Bellerin on Sunday, for the season.

"I think it is not a big injury for Sokratis, his ankle," Emery said.

"Laurent Koscielny is going to the hospital to assess and maybe has broken his jaw.

"They [the injuries] don't help us to be in the match when the result is 1-2, we were in the moment with the chance to level and then go on and win today.

"But these injuries didn't help because the rhythm goes down and we need to change the players."

Meanwhile, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expected to return to the Arsenal squad at Cardiff after returning to full training.

Emery has indicated that Danny Welbeck has probably played his last game for Arsenal.
