Arsenal in race for £15m Tottenham transfer target but Liverpool could scupper plans

Torino right-back Wilfried Singo has emerged as a target for both Arsenal and Tottenham, according to reports.

CBS are reporting that the Gunners and Spurs scouts have watched the 21-year-old on 'countless occasions' as both clubs search for a new right-back.

However, Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Singo, with the attraction of UEFA Champions League football for the Ivory Coast international. Arsenal and Tottenham are both fighting to secure a top four space, but it looks like one of the north London rivals will miss out on a place in the prestigious European competition for next season.

Singo, who sees his contract at Torino expire at the end of next season, will be sold if an offer of £15million comes in, according to reports.

At the moment, Arsenal have Takehiro Tomiyasu, who has been exceptional since moving to the Emirates Stadium last summer, as their main right-back option, with Cedric Soares as Mikel Arteta's back-up.

Cedric has been linked with a move away from the Gunners in recent times, though, and he could be sold at the end of the current season.

Meanwhile, across north London, Tottenham have Emerson Royal, who like Tomiyasu, arrived in the capital last summer.

The Brazilian, though, has struggled so far during his time at Spurs so far - and Antonio Conte may well be after another right-back when the summer transfer window opens.

According to reports in January, Conte has already seen enough of Emerson and will liaise with the club to try and sign a new right-back.

Singo could be that man. As per WhoScored, the Ivorian defender is strong in the air and is good when dribbling with the ball at his feet. It claims he 'has no significant weaknesses'.

He has played 23 times for Torino in the Italian top-flight so far this season - with a particularly impressive attacking record. Singo has scored three goals and assisted four times in those appearances.
