Arsenal are weighing up the possibility of handing David Luiz a new contract this summer, it has been claimed.
The Brazilian defender joined the club from Chelsea in 2019 and is out of contract this summer.
Luiz has featured 30 times in all competitions for the Gunners this season, but it remains undecided whether he will be playing at the Emirates Stadium for a third successive season.
Reports in recent weeks have suggested the 34-year-old may be on his way out of the club, though new information has come to light on his contract situation.
It's understood there are 'possibilities' that Luiz will stay at Arsenal, with contract conversations in the pipeline according to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola.

Nicola also claims that Benfica and Fenerbahce have both made approaches to sign Luiz and that Brazilian sides would have a chance in this transfer battle.
The former PSG defender endured a testing first campaign in north London but was rewarded with a 12-month contract extension by manager Mikel Arteta.
Speaking recently on Luiz's contract situation, the Gunners' boss was full of praise for Luiz but admitted a final decision would not be made until the season is completed.

"He’s always willing to help, he’s always really positive around it. He’s got huge experience of how to win things, but as well how to manage difficult moments and you need that," said Arteta.
"And then he gives a lot of composure to the team both with and without the ball. He’s a presence, he’s a leader and someone that is playing really well at the moment.
"What I want is that he keeps playing like that until the end of the season and we’ll make that decision together."
