Arsenal icon Ian Wright has called upon Mikel Arteta to bring Jorginho into the team more often after the Italy international's impressive performance against former side Chelsea. The midfielder joined the club in January as an extra player for the central ranks, adding plenty of experience.
It helped temporarily solve a depth issue after the loss of Mohamed Elneny for the season through a knee injury, but there's still the long-term to think about. Elneny, Jorginho and Thomas Partey are all heading towards the latter part of their careers, while Granit Xhaka is also around his peak years, leaving few options for the long-term future.
As a result, the coming summer transfer window looks likely to focus on the midfield, with a whole host of options linked. football.london understands that Declan Rice is a top priority for the Gunners, while Moises Caicedo has also been rumoured with a switch for the deeper role.

The dilemma for Arsenal will be which player to make a move for, given both are relatively young and have shown impressive signs in the Premier League. In the mean time, the challenge will be to get to the end of the season with the current crop of players, with the title still up for grabs.
While Partey has often been given the nod, Wright has called for Jorginho to be given more of a chance after his January arrival. He said on Wrighty's House podcast: "We have recruited well and the guys have come in and scored goals. Can I just say something about Jorginho? I would really like to see Jorginho come in the team regularly now.
"I'm sorry, the way he controls the game for us with Zinchenko in there as well, once it gets to Odegaard, the man is like an artist, he’s beautiful."
It remains to be seen how much of a place the midfielder will have in the future of the squad, given the need to strengthen in the summer. However, he could leave his mark on the campaign in the final few matches.
