Arsenal home kit 'on sale' in stores before official launch date

Arsenal's new home kit for the 2020/21 season is already on sale in an Adidas store despite the club yet officially unveiling the latest design.

The strip has been posted on Adidas' Canadian website, with the shirt alone costing £55.

A 'fan ball' has also been accidentally leaked online in Canada by the sportswear giants, who are teaming up with Arsenal for the second season in succession.

Footy Headlines were once again quick to spot the kit gaffe, and posted the images on their own website.

"Adidas has accidentally already put the Arsenal 20-21 fan ball with the design of the kit for sale in their official Canadian online store," said Footy Headlines.

"We expect the adidas Arsenal 2020-2021 home kit to be released in July."

While the kit is selling for 90 Canadian dollars - the equivalent of £55 - it is likely it will be bumped up in price when on sale in UK stores.

Arsenal's current shirt is still selling at £65, even though they only have several weeks left of wearing it.

Footy Headlines have also published 'leaked' images of Arsenal's new away strip for next season.

Displaying a white design with red pattern, the kit is said to resemble the marble floors at Arsenal's previous stadium Highbury.

Both kits would be worn from the start of next season - under fairly safe assumption that the leaked images are of the official designs.

Arsenal have ensured defensive trio David Luiz, Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares will all get a chance to play in the new strips, after extending each of their contracts at the club.

Both Mari and Soares were on loan deals until the end of the current season, but have now been tied down to four-year contracts, after Arsenal agreed to sign them permanently.

Luiz - who had just a week left to run of his previous contract - has also been handed a new one-year deal.
