Arsenal may get their opportunity to re-sign Aaron Ramsey this summer.
The Gunners have struggled to replace the Welshman since his 2019 exit for Juventus, joining the Serie A club on a free after his contract was allowed to run down.
Since Ramsey left, Arsenal have struggled to find that creative spark in the final third, and with Martin Odegaard appearing unlikely to stick around on a permanent basis - Real Madrid wanting him back in the Spanish capital - the Gunners may find themselves shopping for a creative midfield this summer.
But given how much he has been missed, why not bring Ramsey back? There might just be an opportunity to do so, after all.
Much has been made of Ramsey's future at Juventus, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Welshman will be put up for sale this summer.
And what's more, Romano claims Ramsey would be very interested in returning to the Emirates Stadium, where he spent 11 years between 2008 and 2019.
Romano told The Arsenal Lounge: "Aaron Ramsey would love to join Arsenal again.
"At Juventus he is struggling, he's not playing, many injuries.
"He will be on the market 100 percent, he will be available, if Arsenal want to go for Ramsey, they know they have the chance.
"But at the moment there's nothing advanced or serious with Ramsey yet."
Ramsey, who is under contract with Juve until 2023, has made 22 Serie A appearances this season, scoring twice and assisting five in what has been a disappointing season for The Old Lady.
Juventus could miss out on Champions League football ahead of next season, currently fifth and a point behind Napoli heading into the final two games.
